Our Environmental Initiatives

To us, this is more than just a nice policy. It’s a chance to make our world better through the work we do every day.

The earth needs our help. Here's what we're doing about it – right now.

As a key part of the world’s transportation sector, Ross Aviation is keenly aware of business aviation’s responsibility to combat climate change and work for a cleaner environment. We believe that together as an industry we must do more to reduce our collective footprint. Not only for our company – but on behalf of our customers as well.

In that regard, we are making it possible for customers to become more carbon neutral through our "Fly More. Leave Less." initiative, which gives customers the option to add carbon offset credits to any or all of the gallons of fuel they purchase from us.

To us, this is more than just a nice program. It’s a chance to make our world better through the work we do every day.

Beyond carbon offsets, we’re constantly seeking more ways for business aviation to further help our planet by reducing energy consumption, while simultaneously increasing our reliance on renewables. We are a charter member of the NATA’s Sustainability Committee – and, recently, five of our locations were certified as Green Aviation Businesses in accordance with NATA’s new Sustainability Standard.

Other initiatives now in the works include ongoing investments in electric crew cars and tugs, as well as installation of photovoltaic systems on new hangars now under construction. In sum, we view the three “R’s” (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) as part of our holistic approach to sustainability – not just to ensure our own facilities meet and, in some cases exceed, all new standards, but also to help our customers reach carbon neutrality with their flight operations. There is so much we can accomplish in this area, and our commitment is sincere and steadfast.

We believe that, together as an industry, we must do more to reduce our collective footprint.
