Our Environmental Initiatives

To us, this is more than just a nice policy. It’s a chance to make our world better through the work we do every day.

The earth needs our help. Here's what we're doing about it – right now.

As a key part of the world’s transportation sector, Ross Aviation is keenly aware of business aviation’s responsibility to combat climate change and work for a cleaner environment. We believe that, together as an industry, we must do more to reduce our collective footprint. Not only for our company – but on behalf of our customers as well.

We are making it possible for customers to become more carbon neutral through our "Fly More. Leave Less." initiative, which gives you the option to add carbon offset credits to any or all of the gallons of fuel you purchase from us.

The money from those credits will be administered by Carbonfund.org to invest in environmental projects in three key areas: energy efficiency, renewable energy, and forestry. In this way we can all do our part to help reduce the environmental footprint of business aircraft – and, in turn, help our planet.

To us, this is more than just a nice policy. It’s a chance to make our world better through the work we do every day.

What else are we planning to help heal the environment? Glad you asked.

Beyond carbon offsets, Ross Aviation is seeking and implementing additional ways for business aviation to help our planet by reducing our energy consumption, while simultaneously increasing our reliance on renewables.

Some of the current initiatives in the works include making electric crew cars more available, investing in electric tugs and exploring photovoltaic systems on hangar roofs. In addition, we are constantly looking for more ways to increase our participation in the three “R’s” (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) throughout our organization. There is so much we can accomplish in this area, and our commitment is sincere and steadfast.
